Version 1 on the left, version 2 on the right with its rounded display.

A customized version 1 (one of the early 41CX).
The keybord is covered with white mask, nothing unusual with that : all the 41 usually do that...

Customized version 1, behind.

The interior teaches us that at the base a 41CX, is nothing other than a 41CV with a little more ROM (normal):
3 printed boards (PCB) for display, keyboard and CPU; even the components places on the CPU which are rather similar.
We can see, on keyboard PCB middle left, the contacts for the famous phantom external power.

We can see the 2 levels of ROM/RAM chips.
For the customization, 2 X-Memory moduls were integrated into the calculator (to free external ports),
and wires where sealed on the CPU PCB and connected to the moduls part ...

... to change the CPU clock speed and also to cut the buzzer.

Customized version 1 on its box.

Customized version 1.

A version 2 ...

... openned.
There is mainly one PCB for display, keyboard and CPU. Don't ask me what does the little brown.
The contacts for the external power are no more there : this version has been optimized.

To finnish, there are very light differences on the front labels.
